What makes Destilería Revés unique is not only its technical excellence, but also the profound legacy of its founders. Hans Backhoff, winemaker and director of Monte Xanic, and Yocelyn Biancamano, an expert in organic farming, bring a cultivated vision of winemaking and sustainability that is embodied in each distillate.
Located in Ensenada, Baja California, the distillery handcrafts corn-based gin, whiskey, and vodka, using 100% Mexican ingredients that collaborate with local producers and strengthen the regional economy.
Revés Distillery offers three emblematic expressions that reflect its innovative spirit and its connection with the environment:
- Revés Negra : Whisky aged for three years in American oak, followed by six months in Oaxacan mezcal barrels, which provides a distinctive smoky note.
- Revés Azul : A limited edition seven-year oak barrel brew with native Mexican blue corn, non-GMO, celebrating the country's agrarian heritage.
- Revés Roja : Aged for three years in American oak, followed by six months in barrels that previously held Cabernet Sauvignon from the Guadalupe Valley and Tawny-style Port from California
